The 2009 health assessment study BRFSS, (Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Assessment) for Buchanan County was completed in the summer of 2009 (the first was in 1997, followed by studies conducted biannually in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 207). This project is made possible through a partnership between Heartland Health and the St. Joseph/ Buchanan County Public Health Department.
